On November 28, 2007 the official visit of Ukrainian delegation at the head of Chairperson of SNRCU Olena Mykolaichuk to National Atomic Energy Authority of Poland finished

 

 On November 28, 2007 the official visit of Ukrainian delegation at the head of Chairperson of SNRCU Olena Mykolaichuk the National Atomic Energy Authority of Poland (NANE) visited.

 

According to intergovernmental agreement for on-line notification on nuclear accidents, information exchange in area of nuclear safety and radiation protection signed in 1993 those meetings take place every. 

Besides the representatives of regulation authorities the experts of leading scientific institutes take part in those meetings also. In this year Ukrainian delegation included the Head of regional radio-laboratory of Institute of hygiene and medical ecology Yuri Soroka and Director of SE “InfoatomIrina Balalyna. The Polish delegation included the representatives of the Center of nuclear research located close to Polish capital in Smerk town, plants for radioactive waste treatment, State fire service. 

In framework of the meeting the affair of enhancement and adaptation of legislation in area of using nuclear energy to EU legislation, raising the level of skills of inspectors in area of radiation protection, licensing activity in management of ionizing sources, radwaste management, operation of RODOS system have been discussed.

Also in framework of this meeting the Ukrainian delegation visited named Center of nuclear research and site of researching reactor “MARIA”, plant for radioactive waste treatment and acquainted with functioning Emergency Center “CEZAR.

Next year bilateral meeting is planned to keep at RNPP (Kuznetsovsk).
