 The regular meeting of Common group for realization of "Memorandum between Ukraine and European Union on mutual understanding concerning cooperation in energy area" under direction "nuclear safety" took place in EC representative office in Kyiv. The experts from EU, IAEA, Ukraine (N. Shumkov Ministry of Fuel and Energy, C. Bohgko State Nuclear regulatory Committee, M. Konstantinov and M. Kukharchuk NAEK "Energoatom") took part in this meeting.

 The following issues have been discussed:

-         Methodology of assessment of Ukrainian NPPs safety under direction "Design safety";

-         Correcting the Terms of References for project "Support of Memorandum realization under direction "nuclear safety"" according to the notes of parts and proposed methodology of assessment of Ukrainian NPPs safety.

By the result of discussion the participants reached the mutual understanding on mentioned issues. The leaders of delegations stated the readiness to cooperate in performance of planned assessment of Ukrainian NPPs safety.
